Kurai had wandered out of the cities, and found herself outside of Dovich. She headed toward what she believed were the mountains of Carnage. She went through the forest that was at the base of a mountain. Her path was blocked by a steep cliff. "Wonder what's up there" she thought. She sprouted her wings, took off and flew to the top.
She was curious as to what was in these mountains. She had heard little of the wars that occurred in these mountains, but was still quite interested. She looked at the wall of stone that stood before her. As she got closer, she noticed a slit in the stone. She put her hand through it, and took the extra dirt off to realize that the slit was not just there by accident.
She took a step back, drew her sword, and wedged it in that space. She pushed on the sword, until she heard a rumbling. A huge stone began to move, and revealed a tunnel in the side of the mountain.
She put her sword back in it's place, and began to make her way into the mountain. It became very dark, and she had to feel the wall to continue in the path.
The sound of rushing water came to her ears. She looked strait ahead and noticed a glimmer of light. She quickly made her way in that direction and found herself in a big room. Strangely, a torch was burning, but the cobwebs indicated that no one had been in that place for many many years. She picked up the torch and looked around. "this must be one of the hidden forteresses they built in the war" she thought.
She remembered that rushing sound she had heard earlier. She retraced her steps, and found a huge water fall, surrounded by rock. "that's odd" she thought. She watched the water fall strait down into what seemed to be a bottomless pit. "I wonder where this water comes from" she thought. She cuped her hands, and sipped a little of it. "it's fresh". She smiled, as she retraced her steps even further, and found many other rooms. Kurai was glad, she decided to stay there and make this mysterious place her home.
She walked back down toward the forest and walked by an enormous tree. She put both of her hands on it. When it glowed white, she took her hands off. An eye appeared on the bark of the tree. "there, if any one who is not welcome comes, they will be warned". She walked back to the cave.
