Kellan led Eilis through the woods and into the glade. From there she crossed leisurely over to the doors and threw them open, beckoning Eilis inside with a flourish of her hand.
The inside was warm and inviting. The tapestries and floors, and every surface cleaned by Kellan's magic. It all sparkled in the soft light of the chandelier.

Eilis was amazed to see this hidden castle. "you live here? It's amazing!" she could not take her eyes off the tapestries. They each told their own story, whether it be of war, of a hero or of a king.
However, she followed Kellan through the halls.

Kellan moved along swiftly and silently. It was as if her feet didn't hit the floor. Her long green coat cascaded behind her like the waterfall outside the castle. She made her way up the flight of stairs at the far end of the hall and left. At the end she turned right and continued down the long hallway to a very fancy corridor, mostly made of white gold and emerald colored furnishings.
She walked over to a deep brown mahogany door and opened it. Inside the were three doors, two to the right and on to the left. In this room was a couch, chairs, a table, and all the living room accoutrements. She motioned Eilis inside and followed. She moved over to the couch and took a seat.

Eilis stopped for a moment to look at the room before walking in and taking a seat. "you must have been here for a long time" she said "tell me more about this place....about this war". She wanted to know as much as she could, to be able to be most useful but more importantly ready.

Kellan smiled at the girl's forwardness. "First I must explain us, so you see our part when I tell of the war."
She settled herself in and began. "We are both of an ancient race of Vampires, whether you know it or not. I am older than anyone known, almost older than Cydria herself. I am the daughter of the first leader of our clan. Our clan has the unique ability to use magic which no other vampires can do without a potion. We have this power because of my mother and father. My father was one of the 5 first vampires. His name was Delos, a slave of who the humans call Alexander the Great. He went with Alexander to Armetan, or Mesopotamia as those stupid humans so named it, what a wicked name. There he met my mother, High Priestess to Kegrorian, Lord of the Gods. Her name was Namira. Delos and Namira had me, Kellan of Armetan. When their blood mixed something amazing happened to bless our race with magic. My father then turned my mother and they fed on Alexander's army together. Then they turned mother's followers as well. Together they made a clan of the strongest, most powerful, and only magical vampires ever known. It also explains properly why Alexander never came back, it certainly wasn't this 'Pandora's Box', how foolish."

Eilis listened carefully. Although she did not let it be known, her mind was in deep turmoil at this revelation. She thought of the trick she had pulled on the demon earlier. "how in the world am i part of that clan?" she thought. She suddenly realized that had come out of her mouth, and Kellan had heard it.

Kellan chuckled softly. "You are most likely one of the descendants of the priestesses. They were always stronger in magic than the men. I mean they were orignally endowed with it after all. They also were all manners of color, caucasian, african, hispanic, asian, you name it."

Eilis suddenly realized how old Kellan must be. "she sure doesnt look it" she thought. She had many questions, but her mouth did not seem to work with her mind. Finally, she managed to articulate these words. "how did you come accross this place? Or have you always lived here?"

"I came across it when it belonged to the people pictured in the tapestries, a long time ago. Then I came back to it a few weeks ago, perhaps months now." Kellan shrugged.
"Any other questions?"

Eilis smiled "no....I think that'll be enough" she continued thinking about everything that had just been revealed to her.

"Ok, then on to the war. As you know a Dark Overlord has taken control of Every outside area. Dreygen is the only place with magic left. Now, this Dark Overloard is a human, who throough magic, gained his power and immortality. He used to run rampant through the land and destroy everything. However, the gods joined together and locked him away. It weakened them thogh, over the years, and they were unable to contain him any longer. Finally, he broke out of his prison and has resumed his destructive ways. Cydria, is infact one of the only gods and goddesses left in the world. Many, if not all, others have faded into nothingness from the people's new found disbelief in gods. Cydria, thankfully, was always so active in her people's lives that they could not give up belief and she has survived as a very powerful being, surpassing even the dark overlord. However, she can not defeat him as she cannot leave Dreygen without dreygen losing protection and magic. It would only last for a month without her. Then it would inevitably fall to the Dark Overlord."
"So, now, all the citizens of Dreygen are training or resting for battle. One plus is our Alchemist, and of course the fact that we have almost every magical being that comes close to the Dark Overlord's power. Perhaps you've heard of Alessi? Or even Zara? Then of course there is Kesne and myself. You are very powerful as well, and with training will most likely come into our ranks as the best of the protectors."

Eilis smiled. She had faith that all these being combined could defeat Mengele. She had to say, however that she had not heard of some of these fighters, but she knew she would meet them soon enough. "well, having so many fighters certainly sounds promising" she smiled, knowing of course that it would take a huge amount of power to get rid of Mengele.

"We will have the power, dear. We have the heart after all. This is our home now, our last refuge, and nothing will take it away again."
