finally here

Jahanara walked into the town. She was glad to have finally reached this place of safety....there were many who had been hunting her in the outer world, but she had managed to give them the slip and get across the border into Dreygen. She stopped at a shop and bought some salted meat, then sat down on a bench up against a wall. No one sat next to her; they just kept working. While she ate, she studied the large temple rising high above the other buildings. It was certainly impressive, to say the least.

Cydria was passing through to her home until she saw a new citizen on a bench. She approached while smiling warmly and held out a hand.

"A new lycan, how nice. I'm Cydria, goddess and guardian of Dreygen. And your name?" She wasn't sure if knwoing alone that she was a lycan would make the girl rigid. She left the name up to her to tell.

"Hello, Cydria. My name is Jahanara." She smiled and shook Cydria's hand. She was unperturbed that Cydria knew she was a lycan; she had heard much about Cydria, one thing being that she could discover much about you without asking. She was just powerful like that.

Jahanara examined the ground as she spoke."Hunters. They sneaked up on my pack in the dead of night and killed most of us. I was one of the very few that escaped. They hounded me until I had nearly reached Dreygen, but I confused them and gave them the slip. This place is my sanctuary. I do not know if others of my pack will show up, but I hope they do not die." Her face hardened, and she looked back up at Cydria. "Those humans are barbaric. They know nothing of peace." She took a bite of her meat to keep herself from saying something that she could regret later. She had a tendency to do that when she was angry.

Cydria smiled. "Not all humans are bad, just ignorant..."

"Well you are welcome to make your home anywhere here in Dreygen. We do have a forest clan of lycans that might accept you. Perhaps, you'll be even happier here after a time..."

"Thank you, Cydria." Jahanara stood up. "I must be going, however. Good day to you." With that she transformed into a black wolf with a white star on its forehead, barked once to Cydria, and ran off to search for this forest clan.
